Elchim Healthy Ionic Hair Dryer Review

Is There Such A Thing As A Blow Dryer That Won’t Kill My Hair?

I have fried my hair more times than I can count. Years ago I went to the hairdresser, and she gave me a look that said “you’ve been using WAY too much heat on your hair”! She had to cut it a lot shorter than I prefer, and she forbade me from using my tools more than a few times a week. In other words, NOT every day! She was not pleased to say the least.

My hair is a lot healthier now, but I hate walking around when it’s out of control on days when I’m trying to be gentle. I use less heat in general, and I take more time over drying my hair instead of piling on the heat in order to get things moving faster.

That being said, there has to be a way to make a product that can keep hair healthy while still allowing me to get the style that I’m after. I want to find a dryer that respects my strands as much as it takes control of them, and I think I just might have found it in the form of the Elchim Healthy Ionic Hair Dryer.

Healthier Heat

The heating element in this dryer uses ionic ceramic technology which means there are no hot spots, resulting in a more even level of heat. Ceramic is a smoother material that doesn’t chip or break, so it reduces the possibility of uneven heat. This means you don’t need as much, and certain areas of your hair won’t benefit more than others while you’re drying. Plus, it’s a major time saver.

One of the things this baby has is enough power to dry hair 30% faster. It creates a lot of heat without overwhelming most hair types, so you get the look you need without an arduously long drying time.

Keep Quiet

Too much noise does not fare well in my world. I used to work in a massive store where the music was blasting 24/7, and since then I’ve learned to appreciate quiet time. I’ve never had a hair dryer that has been anything short of overwhelmingly loud, so the idea of one that isn’t sounds great to me. This dryer does just that. It has the power without the noise which makes me a majorly happy camper.

Heavy Heat

Unfortunately, this blower is anything but lightweight. In fact, it’s actually kind of heavy. Sure, it will take less time to dry my hair, but I’ve yet to come across “instant” hair drying. I’m small and not very strong so by the time I’m done working on my long, thick locks with a heavy dryer my arm probably hurts.

A Lot of Questions for the Price

The sleek appearance, fast drying time and ceramic technology all work out to be really enticing. This really is a great dryer, but unfortunately it comes at a price. Yes it’s expensive but I don’t mean financially, I mean physically.

Don’t get me wrong, if you have fine or short hair this is definitely one of the better choices, but if you’re anything like me and you have long and thick hair, and you haven’t recently won the world series heavy lifting, you should probably go for something more lightweight. If you’re not anything like me though, wait no longer and check prices and reviews on Amazon.
