Revlon 1875W Tourmaline Ionic Blow Dryer Review

Dry Your Hair The Way You Like When on the Move

I always like to have a good but almost disposable blow dryer so I can use it when I travel. I have used some terrible hair dryers in hotels, and my hair is so particular I never know what I’m going to get with the unknown variable of a hotel dryer.

I won’t spend a lot on my travel one because I have left one or two in the hotel, so they have to be easily replaceable. I don’t expect something for travel to be as good as the one I use at home, but passable and more than decent is nice.

The price on the Revlon RV544PKF 1875W Tourmaline Ionic Ceramic Dryer has my attention. At around $20, it’s cheap enough that I could lose a few of them before I worry about getting the “you wouldn’t be able to find your head if it wasn’t attached to your body” speech from my husband.

Baking Is More Than Delicious

I usually bake cookies and brownies, but the ceramic on this dryer is “triple-baked.” This means the grill and various other parts covered in ceramic have gone through three different processes of applying the material. This ensures it won’t break over time, so it’s less likely to cause issues with heat distribution.

Out In The Cold When You Should Be

One thing I like most on a blower is the ability to use the cold shot once you’ve gotten enough heat on your hair. Sometimes I don’t have time to stop drying all together, but I can tell when I’ve put enough heat on. With this hair dryer you can switch to cold air and cool it down for a bit while still drying. When your hair is ready, you switch back – easy!

Watch for Burns

You only have to say the burn word one time before I’m pretty much down for the count. I’m scared of fire, and I don’t like things that are very hot. It’s amazing that I’ll even use a flat iron because they get so hot.

Some of these dryers either fall apart during use or do this cute thing where they kind of explode! I don’t want to find out what that actually means. I think I’ll happily stay with frizzy hair rather than burned hands and faces.

Tourmaline And Price Aren’t Enough

This hair dryer has tourmaline on ceramic which gives you the extra smooth look you’re probably going for, and the fact it comes with attachments is pretty cool. I can’t however, get past the fact that people have gotten injured while using it (as few as it may be).

If you’re not going to use it often or put a lot of pressure on it, I think this blower is worth the money. However, if there’s a chance you will need it a lot you might want to take a look at some of the other dryers I’ve reviewed.
